Six strangers. One soul-bound Ring. No way out.

Isara Virelle has spent her entire life avoiding people.

Unfortunately, becoming Eshani means binding your soul to five of them.

When the Binding Ceremony assigns her to Ring Six—the most elite fighting unit in Veryuun—Isa is forced into the last place she wants to be: surrounded by strangers who can hear her thoughts, feel her emotions, and know her secrets.

Worst of all, their commander is Niko Veyshar.

Feared across the continent as Rathvenorn’s deadliest weapon, Niko is everything Isa has been taught to hate. Cold. Dangerous. Untouchable.

And now they’re bound together.

As political tensions rise between nations and whispers of forgotten gods begin to spread, cracks appear within Ring Six. Ancient powers stir beneath the surface, forbidden magic awakens in Isa’s blood, and the bond tying her to her team may be unraveling before it has a chance to hold.

To survive, Isa must learn who she can trust.

Because in Veryuun, loyalty is sacred.

And betrayal can cost far more than your life.

Isara Virelle: blue hair, blue eyes, pale-skinned, with a scared burned of Nayari daughter to Thalen Virelle, Nyaren blood mixed with Ravenorn blood. Distancing has always been her move, closing herself off from other people; she’s sneery, she’s persistent, a threadwright in Ring Six.

Niko Veyshar: tan skin, white hair, gray eyes; wears a mask that covers the lower half of his face with two swords behind his back; a recruit from Rathvenorn (Veilwalker to lead Ring Six. Strict preserver; he loves reading romantic novels and stays aware of his surroundings, but around Isa he becomes protective and possessiv, but he kept something from her a big betrayal.

Zahra Noquinn, black hair, dark-skinned,d long hair on the left side of her face, neck length, a vowbearer in Ring Six.

Merrick Vale: short brown hair and light hazel eyes; built, muscled, and thick-corded, a vowearer in Ring Six. Legitimate son of a member councilman to Senrik Vale and son to Ravyn Brinry. He’s quirky, always makes you laugh and grin; you’ll love him with his quirkiness, caring, looking out for the Ring even though he’s been through a rough childhood, and he does something at the end of the book that was so unforgivable.

Cael Terenzi: tall, lean, round glasses, spiky blond hair, green eyes, threadwright in Ring Six. Not made for fighting, but he’s smart and knows a lot about plants.

Casa Vayne (threadmarked): tan-skinned, blond hair, dimples, amber eyes. Best friend and casual hookup situation; he’s very nonchalant, cool, and collected from Ring ten.

Eryn Solthame (Lorebinder): soft pink hair braided and tied with a ribbon, brown eyes, petite features. She’s the most knowledgeable person you can confide in to find answers.

Elarin Solen: in her fifties, dark hair, member of the council, legal guardian to Isara Virelle

Senrik Vale: a member of the council, father to Merikk Vale, too pale face, black mustache, black oily hair.

Councilman Otasi, in his fifties, white beard. He is tolerable.

Commander Raithe: layered in black, wears a porcelain mask, one gray eye empty. One side of his hair is cropped so close to his hairline that the other side is long and threaded.

Commander Lenore Ashari, early thirties, tall, lean, bronze-skinned, long braid, silver streaks, sharp dark eyes, faint scar on her lower lip, leader of Ring Ten.

Lisinya Blaise, red-haired, from Ring Ten.

Bri Niserth, green-haired, from Ring Ten.

Masouri Herith, tall with deep green eyes, from Ring Ten

Saerith Tilny, warm presence, nut brown hair, thick frame from Ring ten.

Mrs korren red haired mother to Tobbin and Brynn, wife to Ilya Korren.

Mr Korren, thick brown beard and shaggy hair, father to Tobbin and Brynn, husband to Kessa Korren.

Maven: tall, lanky, green hair, hazel eyes, decent jawline.

Priest Mistcradle: tall, layered robes, smoky and silver, long braid dark then light, dark-skinned, pale eyes

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. The writing had an easy-going pace, and I was skimming through the book. I love the Ring Ten; it formed a family Isa grew to love since she’s always been alone. And at the end of the book, I didn’t want it to end; I was speechless, and I wanted to scream because of how J. A Good left me hanging like that. The book was amazing; I loved it. It’s filled with elemental magic, betrayal, and enemy-to-lover.

“I want to ruin her so that she’s mine, my beautiful disaster. My wild creature. My goddess of chaos.”

The viral TikTok friends-to-lovers dark romantic comedy full of murder, chaos, and sizzling chemistry- unlike anything you’ve read before.

When a chance encounter sparks an unlikely bond between rival murderers Sloane and Rowan, they find something elusive- the friendship of two like-minded, pitch-black souls who just happen to enjoy killing other serial killers.

From small-town West Virginia to upscale California, and from downtown Boston to rural Texas, the two hunters collide in an annual game of blood and suffering, one that pits them against the most dangerous monsters in the country.

But as their friendship develops into something more, the restless ghosts left in their wake are only a few steps behind, ready to claim more than just their newfound love.

Can Rowan and Sloane dig themselves out of a game of graves?

Or have they finally met their match?

Sloane Suterland: black hair, hazel eyes, face covered in freckles, with dimples; she is sheepish and clever. Best friend to Lark Montague. In the day she is a data scientist, but by night she is the Orb Weaver.

Rowan Kane: black tousled hair, ocean blue eyes with an Irish accent; he’s delightful, overconfident, amusing. He loves cooking at his own restaurant by day, but by night he is known as the butcher; He is the second oldest brother to Lachlan and Fionn Kane

Lachlan Kane: dark brown hair, blue eyes, full lips, tall, powerfully built, covered in tattoos on his neck, arms, and hands; sometimes wears glasses; overprotective of his brothers; the oldest brother of the Kane brothers. By day, he is the ceo of Kane Atelier, but by night he is a contract killer.

Fionn Kane has brown hair and light blue eyes; he is the youngest of the Kane brothers. He is kind and a healthy addict, always supportive of his brothers

Lark Monague: long blonde hair, blue eyes, best friend to Sloane Sutherland since boarding school. Her job is a music therapist; she’s encouraging, laughable

I give this book a 2.0 out of 5 stars. The pace of writing was good, and it was a good read that I want to read the next 2 books in the Ruinous Trilogy. I love Sloane; she gives that sweet but psycho vibe, and Kane’s a weirdo, but he’s a cute weirdo. For my rating, to be honest, I kept taking breaks, but it didn’t give me that kind of absorption in the book to nonstop read.

Clearly, for Ash, a career as a musician isn’t exactly an option. Plus, he’s cursed. Sick of playing by the rules, Ash and his three brothers escape Hell in search of freedom on Earth. But it’s harder than they thought to keep their enemies off their tail . . .

The four rogues quickly become the Underworld’s Most Wanted, and if they’re caught, the consequences will be dire. Yet everything changes for Ash when he meets a beautiful violinist who can see through his curse. It must be too good to be true, but, no matter the risk, he has to have her.

Evangeline Gregory is just your average human. She works at a jazz bar, plays gigs on weekends . . . and, apparently, hallucinates demons.

At least that’s what Eva tells herself when, moments after she meets the man of her dreams, she sees him shift into a 7-foot-tall monster. Not believing her own eyes, Eva decides to investigate and soon finds herself caught in the middle of a supernatural clusterf**k of epic proportions. But Ash isn’t the only one keeping secrets, and the search for answers reveals a shocking truth that will change the course of her life forever. Or maybe just doom it. Eva and Ash will learn the path to love can be complete Hell.

Evageline: dark brown-skinned, wild curly hair, full lips, gray eyes, a passionate musician with the violin and flute; she’s funny, wild, daughter of Jacqueline and Dan Gregory.

Asmodeus: light-skinned, with long, silky black hair and midnight blue eyes; he’s shy, passionate about the piano, the heart of the group among his brothers.

Belial, the oldest of his brothers: blond hair, blue eyes, built and sculpted like a giant Greek god; with anger management issues, he loves cooking, and he loves his brothers and will do anything to keep them safe

Mephistopheles (Meph), youngest brother of the group. Covered in tattoos from head to toe, with even his face covered in piercings, short black hair, and a plastered lopsided grin; he’s amusing, chaotic, and he reminds me of Mikey from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Raum is dark-skinned and has gold eyes likes to keep to himself, is broody, but he truly cares about his brothers; he doesn’t show it as easily. He loves all animals, especially cats; all animals love him.

Thelonis is a black-furred cat.

Jacquiline Gregory: dark-skinned, big brown eyes, tamed hair, very nonchalant, encouraging, a passion for art. Mother of Evelagine Gregory

Dan Gregory: light-skinned, blond hair, muscular, broad, and has a sweet tooth and a shocking truth about him that only leads to betrayal.

Skye: olive-skinned, with dark long hair, Eva’s best friend.

Mishetsumphtal the hunter: thick black hair, ashen gray skin with a tail

I give this book a 2 out of 5 stars. I liked the writing; it was a good pace for me to read and a good read, but I wanted more. To be honest, I loved the part where they are demons and angels. I loved the paranormal; the story is good, but I thought it would be more thrilling, where it grabs you into the book itself

When Lore was thirteen, she escaped a cult in the catacombs beneath the city of Dellaire. And in the ten years since, she’s lived by one rule: don’t let them find you. Easier said than done, when her death magic ties her to the city.

Mortem, the magic born from death, is a high-priced and illicit commodity in Dellaire, and Lore’s job running poisons keeps her in food, shelter, and relative security. But when a run goes wrong and Lore’s power is revealed, she’s taken by the Presque Mort, a group of warrior-monks sanctioned to use Mortem working for the Sainted King. Lore fully expects a pyre, but King August has a different plan. Entire villages on the outskirts of the country have been dying overnight, seemingly at random. Lore can either use her magic to find out what’s happening and who in the King’s court is responsible, or die.

Lore is thrust into the Sainted King’s glittering court, where no one can be believed and even fewer can be trusted. Guarded by Gabriel, a duke-turned-monk, and continually running up against Bastian, August’s ne’er-do-well heir, Lore tangles in politics, religion, and forbidden romance as she attempts to navigate a debauched and opulent society.

But the life she left behind in the catacombs is catching up with her. And even as Lore makes her way through the Sainted court above, they might be drawing closer than she thinks.

August Arceneaux, Sainted King, iron gray hair, deep brown eyes, trimmed beard, Anton’s twin brother

Bastain Arceneaux: dark-haired, honey brown eyes, strong jaw, golden sun bronze, white-skinned,

Alienor: blonde white curls, clear eyes, warm copper skin, Daughter to Severin Bellegarde

Severin Bellegarde: milk-pale skin, wood-brown hair, pin-straight; his expression stern, father to Alienor Bellegarde

I give this book a 1.0 out of 5 stars. The first chapter was slow, then once I passed that, it spiked a little, then went down again. This book was not for me. I love the fantasy part, but there was no thrill or a pace to keep me reading nonstop.

In the wake of last winter’s tragedies, through loss and heartbreak, we somehow made it to a new year. But our fight is far from over.

A second dragon has awoken—her heart tainted, and her power commandeered by two ruthless highbloods who will stop at nothing to uncover the dangerous, bloody secrets at the borders of Sangratha. Their cruelty knows no bounds.

Florence, my dearest friend, teetered on the brink of death. A dragon saved her, but now she’s tied to him in a way I can scarcely understand. What will this new bond do to the woman I’ve come to love as a sister?

And then there’s Blake. Once my relentless tormentor, then the keeper of my heart… he betrayed me again, nearly condemning Nyxaris to a cursed, stone-cold fate. But something has shifted in him. His gray eyes hide a secret he’s desperate to protect. I saved Blake’s life, despite everything. Yet with every heartbeat, I have to question where we go from here.

With Bloodwing Academy in turmoil and a new headmaster no one saw coming, only one thing is certain: This is going to be one hell of a year.

Medra Pendragon (blightborn), House of Avari: red fiery curls, a face full of freckles, green eyes, an act of defiance and snarky attitude; she made a choice, and she feels like the person she loves is already lost to her because of her action. She knows it was wrong, but for the right reason she couldn’t bear the loss.

Florence Shen (blightborn) House of Avari; long black silky hair, glasses, quiet and nerdy, sweet and knowledgeable, passionate about books and top student at the academy, but something happens to save her life, but she didn’t get a say in it; she’s not just a student; she’s more, and that has painted a target on her back; she has to be careful from people unveiling the truth.

Blake Drakharrow (highblood), the crown vampire prince, chin-length silver hair, scarred, jagged, on the left side of his face, but something is happening to him he doesn’t understand, so he seeks answers; he fears if he can’t control himself he might hurt the woman he loves, his little spitfire dragon.

Lord Victor Drakharrow (higblood), unsettlingly red blood, eyes hanging in clumps, frame decaying, half of his face melted off, voice raspy, bonded husband to Regen Pensera, but he kept an absolutely shocking secret.

Regen Pensera (highblood), house of Drakharrow, bonded wife to Victor Drakharrow, the new headmistress of Bloodwing Academy, a pawn between the two men; her father, Lord Pensera, and Victor Drakharrow. To save her loved ones, Persis Pensera, from Victor Drakharrow, she has to obey him; if she defies him in any way, he will execute the people she holds dearly.

Quinn Riley, House of Drakharrow (highblood), a mean girl; she hates blightborns, who she believes are only meant for highbloods to rule. Narrow frame, pretty, curvy lips consort to Edward Ashviel

Larrisa, House of Drackharrow (highblood), golden, mellow skin and thick silver waves

Grethchen, House of Darkharrow, tall, curvy, straight chin-length hair and half of a pretty face

Edward Ashviel, House of Mortis (highblood), archon to Quinn Riley

Silvo Santos, House of Mortis (highblood), golden mellow skin, brown eyes, square jaw. assigned to be a bloodguard

Cade, House of Avari, assigned to be a bloodgaurd

a housekeeper of House of Avari, curly brown hair tinged gray

Professor Sankara (highblood): large, pure muscle-bulk, silver tight curls cropped growing out a beard

Visha Vaidya house of Drakharrow violet eyes razor-edged sides of her hair fierce backbone blake second in command loyal to Blake Drakeharrow

Vaughn Sabinoa House of Orphos (blightborn): tall, dark-skinned, slender, dark-haired, Theo’s beloved

Lysander House of Orphos with delicate facial features, pale blue eyes; he gains respect because he earns it, not demands it

I give this book a 4,3 out of 5 stars because I felt it was a little slow for me, not gonna lie; in the beginning it was, but near the end of the book, oh my god, what just happened? Mind blown, and like I said, I love the writing; it’s at a pace where it hauls me into nonstop reading. I can’t wait for the 4th book in the series to come out in October. I’m so happy that I came upon this book series; it has to be one of my favorite book series now.

PlayI thought surviving my first year in Bloodwing’s deadly halls would be enough. I was wrong.

I accidentally woke a dragon — a creature of myth, of death, of fire.

Now every highblood house wants control over me and the dragon’s legacy I carry. But here’s the truth: I have no control. I’m bluffing my way through every encounter, trying to keep everyone from realizing that I’m not the one pulling the dragon’s strings.

And then there’s Blake Drakharrow. I thought he was on my side, that I might even be able to trust him. But he betrayed me. Now I’m his only blood source. How messed up is that? In a place like Bloodwing, where power and survival are everything, this bond may well be the death of us both. Unless I can find a way to end it.

In this world of vampires, dragons, and lies, there are no happy endings. Just legends and the darkness it takes to make them.

Natsumi Avari (highblood), mother to Kage Takana, petite, slender frame, cut-length silver hair, and dark eyes filled with intelligence and mindfulness.

Lord Sylvain (highblood), tall, pale blue eyes. Father to Evander Trembles, concealing his fears in front of his peers

Blake Drakharrow (highblood), golden blond chin-length hair, sharp-featured face with intense gray eyes. Crowned prince to the Darkharrow house; haughty, tormenting, overbearing, and possessive when it comes to Medra Pendragon. He realizes he cannot live without her, so he begins changing his ways by becoming less overbearing, degrading, and earning her trust is his number one priority. Towards the end, something unexpected happens to Blake Drakharrow: the left side of his face becomes scarred up and eyeless

Medra Pendragon (Blightborn) House of Avari, red fiery locks, a face full of freckles, intense green eyes bound to Blake Drakharrow. A spitfire attitude, steely audacity, friend to Florence Shen. They are more than just friends; it develops into sisterhood; she is like a sister she never had. Blake: she absolutely hated him; couldn’t stand him, be near him, repulsed, but as their bond grew, she can’t deny it any longer that she wants Blake Darkharrow

Nyxarix: black scales, gold amber fierce eyes, imprisoned in stone for who knows how long; he awakens at the hands of Medra Pendragon, truly stunning, fierce

Neville, partly fox and partly owl, a very rare creature; they can heal. He is loyal to Florence Shen. Mischievous. He follows her to classes and the library when he’s up to it, but sometimes, he’s with Blake too. He was found by Medra Pendragon when he was just a pup, injured and near death.

Victor Drakhorrow (highblood), uncle to Blake and Marcus Drakharrow, similar in looks to his nephew Blake but with unsettling blood red eyes. Victor wants all that power for himself. He’s manipulative and threatening towards the end. Something happens: his hair is hanging in clumps, but the rest are bald spots; his frame is decaying, and his voice is raspy.

Marcus Drakharrow (highblood), older brother to Blake Drakharrow; short, stockier, pale blue eyes. He is cruel and uses people like disposable trash.

Theo Drakharrow (highblood), house of Drakharrow; honey blond hair, pale face, close cousins to Blake Drakharrow. Who always protects him from their uncle’s constant disapproval. He is caring, compassionate, and silly, but he mostly keeps the group together

Visha Vaidya (highblood): rich brown skin; one side of her head let the other side grow out; purple eyes; house of Drakharrow; fierce loyalty to Blake Drakharrow and growing on Medra Pendragon and Florence Shen.

Regen Pensera, daughter of Lord Pensera (highblood), house of Drakharrow, shimmering pale blond long hair, pink lips, and dark eyes. She is cold and scheming.

Quinn Riley, house of Drakharrow (highblood), Regan follower and one of the mean girls

Larrisa, house of Drakharrow (highblood), golden soft skin, silver hair that falls in thick waves, Regan follower and one of the mean girls

Gretchen, house of Drakharrow (highblood), a tall curvy girl, silver straight chin-length hair, half pretty face, Regan follower and one of the mean girls

Kage Tanaka (highblood), house leader of Avari (highblood), tall, golden skin, sharp cheekbones, pale hair, dark obsidian eyes, and a tattoo beneath his collarbone of a crescent moon. Dominating, authoritative, and intelligent, but he has a secret no one knows about

Professor Hassan with a cane, long streaked silver hair in a bun (blightborn), seeking approval with the highbloods. She is a mean old lady who doesn’t tolerate tardiness.

Jia Shen (blightborn), slender and petite with dark eyes. Wire-rimmed glasses, long black hair tied up in a bun, and mother to Florence Shen. One of the librarian’s smartest, patient, helpful, caring, and warm presence.

Professor Stonefist teaches basic combat. (Dwarven) Short, sturdy, muscular, broad shoulders, and thick fore forearms; gray hair with a few patches of brown; strikingly dark blue eyes and a little bit of a beard.

Professor Rodriguez (blightborn): he’s co-teaching alchemist gardening; black tousled hair, warm olive-toned skin, with a face lined with exhaustion. He cares for blightborns, but he’s also hiding something about him that’s absolutely shocking.

Professor Allenvale, a visiting scholar of House of Orphos teaching Alchemy, long hair pulled back with streaks of purple and green highlights in a braid, round gold glasses, and brown-skinned.

Lord Garrick Mortis (highblood), father to Catherine Mortis, towering, broad shoulders, thick chest, scarred face, a scar slashing his cheekbone to his temple; silver beard; he radiates brutalism

Lady Elara Avari (highblood), long silvered white hair, heart-shaped face, dark eyes filled with cleverness

Lysander Orphos (highblood), older brother to Lunaya Orphos, softer and delicate features, long white hair, pale blue eyes

Lunaya Orphos (highblood), youngest sister to Lysander Orphos, radiating skin, curtain silver blond hair, delicate features, upturned nose, curved soft lips, innocent

Laurent (highblood), first year at Bloodwing Academy, pale hair slicked back, thin, ferret-like features, annoying

Healer Ailith (blightborn), house of Drakharrow, short, dark-skinned, browned curls in a bun

Evie (blighborn), warden to house of Avari, hair cropped short with hanging earrings on both ears and a nose ring, pointy ears

Professor Allaster (highblood) teaches Sanguine rites, tall, thin, pale hair tied back in a ponytail, skeletal face

I give this book 4.5 stars out of 5. In the beginning, it started a little slow pacing for me, not the writing, just how the book started with the council and everything. She just made history, and now you are going to put her on trial what the heck? But other than that, I absolutely love Medra, Blake, Florence, etc. And how Blake is being more open about liking and caring about Florence because of Medra is very touching. Medra stands up for everything she believes in, and Florence is innocent and supportive. I was so shocked I had no words for it, and I’m eager to start the next book.

I didn’t sign up for this. A half-fae in a school of highblood vampires? That’s a recipe for suffering.

I’m Medra Pendragon, last of the dragon riders — or so they tell me. Funny thing is, there are no dragons left. Not a single one. But somehow, that hasn’t stopped the vampires from deciding I’m worth capturing. Now I’m stuck at Bloodwing Academy, where the highbloods run everything, and blightborn like me? We’re just blood in their veins, pawns in their games.

But that’s not even the worst part. Enter Blake Drakharrow: cold, arrogant, and way too gorgeous for his own good. He’s been tormenting me since the moment we met, and now, thanks to some ancient ritual, we’re betrothed. He acts like he owns me, but I’m not going down without a fight.

Bloodwing isn’t just a school—it’s a battlefield. Highbloods fight for power, and if you’re weak, you’re dead.

Between deadly competitions, lies that could get me executed, and a dragon-shaped secret looming over my head, all I have to do is survive. Easy, right? Except I’m starting to think the real danger isn’t the academy—it’s what I’m becoming in this twisted game of power.

And Blake? He might just be the one who pushes me over the edge.

They think they can control me. They think they can use me. But they have no idea what they’ve awakened.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because I absolutely love it. It was so gripping in the beginning that I couldn’t put it down, not even for a second. The writing didn’t falter for a second, making it nonstop gripping, and I need to read all the books. When I first met Medra, I knew she was going to be the awesome main character, and Prince Blake Drakharrow. I felt behind that cold demeanor that he really cares; he just has to be careful because he’s from a powerful house, and his uncle, Vickor Darkharrow, will strip him of his status if he’s seen as weak or hurts the ones he loves.
